To be considered for this role, CassonX are looking to identify someone who offers Fund Accounting experience, either from a Hedge Fund or Administrator, with a variety of hedge, long only and closed end fund structures. In an ideal world you will be a qualified accountant, maybe even offering training in one of the “big 4” before moving into product control in a tier 1 bank as example, but it is essential that you have either worked in a hedge fund or directly supported hedge funds from a fund accounting perspective to be considered – this includes exposure to UCIT, Cayman, Irish ICAV or closed end fund structures as example. The client is renowned for hiring personable people who can present themselves confidently, both internally and externally with senior stakeholders.

As they are a small team, this role will see you cover many aspects of the Fund Accounting processes (accurate pricing, valuation and reconciliation to Administrator NAVs) for all of their funds and strategies. This includes IPV, PnL, NAV recs, Management and Performance Fees, Fund Recs, FX and Share Class hedging, Fund Audit, Financial Statement Review, Regulatory Reporting, Investor Due Diligence requests and New Fund Launches.
