CassonX are delighted to be exclusively recruiting for a leading international bank with a strong presence in the UK. This company are looking to hire someone to work in their well-established Derivatives & Securities Operations team. This small but stable company to work for will provide an opportunity to grow, have a long-term career, and is indicative of their very hands-on approach and “everyone mucks in” mentality, to successfully manage operational processes across a variety of financial products.

To be considered for the role CassonX are looking to identify someone coming from a banking background in the UK, who has experience of being hands-on in derivatives or securities operations. The ideal profile is of someone familiar with trade processing, settlement, and middle/back-office operations, with knowledge of products such as Bonds, Swaps, Futures, CDS, Repos, and Equities. Experience with operational processes including trade capture, confirmations, cash flow processing, reconciliations, and reporting is highly desirable.

This role offers high levels of exposure across many areas of derivatives and securities operations. This is a hands-on role where you will have responsibility and ownership over your function, working closely with the team and senior staff to ensure high-quality work is delivered.

Responsibilities Include:

• Process derivatives and securities transactions across the full trade lifecycle.
• Perform maker/checker activities, including trade capture, confirmation, settlement processing, and verification of payment instructions.
• Investigate and resolve operational breaks or reconciliation discrepancies.
• Generate trade and collateral reports as required.
• Participate in operational or system-related projects when required.
• Identify inefficiencies and suggest improvements to processes and systems.
