To be considered for this role, you must have exemplary education that boasts at least a 2:1 degree from a Russell Group university (or international equivalent), and educational prowess at A-Levels too. You will have experience on the buy- or sell-side, managing trade lifecycles for a variety of asset classes (Equities, Fixed Income, Rates, Futures, Credit or Commodities) with proven expertise to design, build and perform controls through various types of reconciliations and exceptions (cash, trade, positions). As this is a leadership role, you must be able to showcase experience of nurturing, coaching, mentoring or managing and small or inexperienced team, in either a Manager / Head of Ops or Supervisor type role. Experience of working with technology functions and external vendors to drive efficient and scalable processes are deemed highly advantageous.
This role will see the successful incumbent manage a high-performing team of talented operations staff doing most post-trade responsibilities for a multi-$billion AUM hedge fund. As this is a build and scaling type role, you will have appetite to support the growth of the company, creating risk-robust controls, and to endeavour timely delivery of accurate performance of your teams work. This role ideally suits someone looking to move to gain a promotion to a “head of” title and career support will also be given to you by the CEO if needed.
