CassonX are delighted to be partnering with a $3bn multi strategy hedge fund that offers an underlying strategy in Credit, but with exposure to short term liquid asset and systematic strategies. This Absolute Return Macro strategy company offers an environment that is very team oriented, hiring those who are very capable at what they do but without egos, and they do not over work their staff with flexible hours and 1 day working from home each week. This company has global offices, and are hiring due to continued growth in their AUM and performance. Candidates with experience who offer a background in a credit/bond basis book firm, then this is deemed highly advantageous.

To be considered for this role, CassonX are ideally looking for someone who has worked in a hedge fund, or asset manager supporting alternative strategies, however they would consider someone who is working in prime brokerage trade lifecycle environment. You must knowledge of credit and equity products, both listed and OTC (e.g., Corporate/Government Bonds, Bond TRS, CDX/CDS, Common Stock/ADR, Equity Swaps/CFD’s, Equity/Index Options, FX/FX Options etc.), OTC affirmation and settlement process (CDS, OTC, FX), and CTM matching process for all eligible Equity/Bond products. Experience with Imagine Software, Bloomberg, Electronic trading platforms and Northern Trust Hedge Fund Services is preferred. Experience of supporting and processing corporate actions is highly advantageous.

This varied role sits in their Operations/Middle Office department and will see you cover all things to do with the trade lifecycle and settlement for all of their transactions. This will mainly involve Trade confirmation/affirmation and settlement for listed and OTC products, OTC cash settlements relating to daily bilateral trade activity with various counterparties and Daily reconciliations (positions, activity & cash), processing of corporate actions, option exercises/assignments. This role suits someone with experience at the start of their career, who is looking to work in a profitable and growing hedge fund, and would like the chance in time to move into a Traders Assistant role in the future.
