CassonX are absolutely thrilled to be partnering with a prestigious and exceptionally well-run Equity L/S hedge fund, known for its sophisticated investment strategies and high-calibre team. With a strong track record and a deeply institutional client base, this firm prides itself on operating with the precision and discipline of a much larger player, yet with the agility and flat structure of a boutique. The working environment is professional, collaborative, and intellectually rigorous — where smart, proactive individuals thrive. Everyone, from junior to senior, contributes meaningfully to the firm’s success, and operational excellence is valued just as highly as investment performance.
This hire is due to continued success and growth, and the business is now looking to hire an Operations Manager to support the day-to-day functioning of their high-performing team. This is a unique opportunity to work directly alongside the COO and gain exposure to all elements of a buy-side operations function — with involvement across trading, risk, FX hedging, and regulatory reporting. A truly broad and impactful role, ideal for someone who enjoys both autonomy and responsibility, and who thrives in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
To be considered for this role, CassonX are looking to identify someone with 3 to 5 years of operations or middle office experience, ideally within a hedge fund or asset management environment. Strong understanding of the trade lifecycle of Equity asset classes is essential — including booking, matching, and settlement — as is the ability to liaise confidently with prime brokers, fund administrators, and portfolio managers. You must be highly detail-oriented, capable of working independently, and bring excellent Excel skills to the table. Experience with Broadridge Portfolio Management System would be viewed extremely favourably, as would exposure to FX hedging, NAV support, and regulatory reporting. You’ll need to bring a practical and proactive mindset to everything you do and be someone who naturally looks for ways to improve processes and controls. Commitment, common sense, and a strong team ethic are non-negotiable. Preference will be given to those who can showcase at least one of the following:
In return, you will be rewarded with a genuinely interesting and hands-on Operations Manager role, with outstanding visibility across the firm. You’ll be working in a lean but incredibly talented team where your contributions will be valued and your voice heard. Bonus potential is well above market average for operations professionals, and the working culture is high-performing without being hierarchical or bureaucratic. Further details will be shared with those who submit a relevant CV. Please note the firm works 5 days a week in the office.
CassonX Limited are committed to providing fair employment opportunities to all applicants. We encourage anyone to apply, regardless of background, and promote a fair and inclusive recruitment process based on merit.
