Senior Account Manager – Depositary – Fund Services

CassonX are delighted to be recruiting for a senior leadership opportunity with a global leader in fund services. As a result of significant new business wins and the onboarding of a substantial number of new funds, the business is experiencing strong growth and is expanding its headcount. This is an excellent opportunity to join an established global organisation and play a key leadership role in the continued growth and development of its UK Depositary business.

The role will involve responsibility for the oversight of Depositary activities across a portfolio of clients, including NAV reviews, cash flow monitoring, safekeeping of assets and compliance reviews. You will be expected to maintain a robust control framework, ensuring procedures are followed correctly and that any errors, breaches or operational issues are identified, escalated and resolved appropriately. This is a highly client facing position, and the successful individual will become a senior point of contact for complex queries and issues, working closely with clients to resolve matters whilst developing strong and lasting relationships. There is also a significant governance and oversight element, with involvement in on-site inspections, due diligence activity, SOC testing, annual audits and reviews of sub-custodians and other third-party service providers. Alongside the day-to-day management responsibilities, you will contribute to projects and process improvements, whilst playing an active role in the training, development and motivation of the wider team.

To be considered, you should ideally have a relevant degree or professional qualification in Business, Finance or a related discipline, together with a minimum of 7 years’ Depositary experience within the fund industry. Experience across Hedge Funds, Private Equity, Real Estate or other Alternative Funds would be highly advantageous, as would a strong track record of managing teams within a regulated environment. The successful individual will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a strong understanding of risk and control, and a genuine commitment to delivering a high level of client service.
