Senior OTC Hedge Fund Operations – Middle East

CassonX are delighted to be recruiting for a highly experienced OTC Hedge Fund Operations candidates in one of the major Emirate states. This truly unique and demanding role will see you work in partnership with an Asset Manager / Multi Manager and a Fund Services partner, making sure that all things for the lifecycle of trades, and for fund accounting purposes, are successfully working well together. To be considered for this role, you must be genuinely interested and willing to relocate full time to the Middle East for a permanent role. You must be able to demonstrate exceptional knowledge of complex OTC derivatives products, and the mechanics of how they work, including the confirmation, affirmation and collateral processes, IBOR, Reconciliations, Corporate Actions, Settlements and Clearing. You must also have sounds expertise of how funds are reconciled and go through a valuation / NAV process. Candidates with experience of using SimCorp will be prioritised over those without experience using this system.

This opportunity suits someone who can clearly showcase a thorough understanding of how operations workflows operate whilst considering all aspect of risk simultaneously, and how businesses use a third party services provider successfully. You should be able to demonstrate either experience of galvanising and bridging this type of relationship, making it very efficient and successful, but any experience of transitioning or working with a new fund services provider is highly beneficial.

It is worth noting that this senior hire is not a processing role, but more of strategic role where you will use your extensive Operations workflow experience to offer guidance and create harmonious efficiency by acting as a relationship manager and business manager between all entities, working with all types of stake holders, to achieve optimisation in the processes and business relationship. If you have a project type of mentality, with a “fixer” ability, then you will flourish in this type of role, as you will be required to juggle all types of requests and potential issues, and thus able to challenge queries professionally and authoritatively showcasing your experience and knowledge.
