CassonX are thrilled to be a recruitment partner for this Family office which is turning into a Hedge Fund in the new year. With 10 years+ track record of at least 10% annualised returns in managed Futures, this business is looking to bring in a COO to support the 2 founders with all things that a COO would do in running the business, and to support the identification and onboarding of new investors from Private Client, UHNW, Institutional and Family Office backgrounds, whilst they also look to move into OTC and Private Market strategies. The seed is locked in for many years with focus on performance and not just AUM growth, and CassonX are thrilled to be part of what seems a stable risk for someone to move into a start-up firm launching.

This fabulous opportunity is prime for someone who is currently a Head of Operations or Junior COO coming from a varied Family Office role, or someone who has worked in boutique Hedges Funds and supported their growth from launch status. CassonX are looking for someone who can demonstrate they have been a point of contact for externally outsourced Legal, Fund Administration, Compliance and everything Regulatory focussed, as well as an ability to liaise with Prime Brokers with regards to trades and making sure all transactions are completed successfully.

Acting as COO, you will be expected to help grown the company and doesn’t really suit someone coming from a major name where you have initiated major cost saving exercises or performed large scale projects. Wearing many hats, supporting a trend following and risk premium strategy, you will also be required to undertake external presentations to clients or conferences, as well as being the business manager for the company. Being the main point of contact for outsourced functions, you will have responsibility for ensuring operational excellence on a day-to-day basis across the firm.
