Junior Middle Office – Wealth Management – Fund of Funds (Private Equity)

CassonX are delighted to be recruiting for this Wealth Management company that provides discretionary and portfolio management services to private (UHNW) and institutional clients. They pride themselves on being able to find the best investment solutions for their clients, regardless of asset classes, with strong market reputation specifically in Private Equity and Real Estate funds. The do invest in alternatives, and long only Equity and Fixed Income strategies too. This boutique business is renowned for offering a “family” feel to their working culture, and the Director of Operations is renowned for long-term career prospects and stability. In regards to their hiring strategy, they always look to give potential employees the chance to step up, learn and develop more by joining their company, and this is very indicative of this role.

This role ideally suits someone who has experience of working with multiple reconciliations in the funds world, and is looking to further their knowledge and experience across Middle Office. French language is highly desirable but not essential.

To be considered for this varied role, CassonX are looking to identify someone who has worked on the buyside (Asset Management, Wealth Management, Private Equity, Custody etc) and has gained experience in reconciliations of many funds, and would now like to do more! Should you have experience of trade lifecycle, confirmations across multiple custodians, reconciliation of brokerage fees, NAV (recs and production), Client Valuations, Performance, Reporting or general trouble-shooting experience with Custodians, then this is deemed highly advantageous but not essential. It is even more favourable if you have worked in and Private Equity Fund or Fund Administration type of business. This broad role is all about opportunity, where you will get the chance to build strong relationships with the Portfolio Managers, and in time you will be expected to (as example):

• Check daily/weekly cash balances
• Finalise trade data into the in-house reporting system
• Follow-up on trading activity, verifying the execution terms for all the client’s portfolios
• Trouble-shoot errors with custodian banks
• Producing monthly/quarterly client valuations
• Produce special client reports
• Monitoring of corporate actions
• Reconciling and checking our positions with the valuation of the underlying custodian
