CassonX are thrilled to be the exclusive experienced hires recruiter for a City of London based boutique Asset Manager, who invests in Asset Backed Securities, Mortgage Backed Securities, CLOs and Distressed Debt. This small but growing Credit Fund gives all employees to have access to all departments in an open plan office, and encourages you to build relationships with everyone in the business. There are always lots of projects to work on, especially following their first ever New Issuance transactions and the launch of a new CLO ETF, and you will have initial access to real working assets of c$250m. The Partners and COO are truly a nice people, realistic, and encouraging, and in our opinion would be excellent to work with.

To be considered for this role, CassonX are looking to identify someone who has experience of Trading either Mortgage Backed Securities or Asset/Corporate Backed Securities products. You will experience of looking at the tranches of transactions, ascertaining who holds the assets and thus analyse suitability to come up with trade ideas that fit into their risk profile. This is an experienced hire, you must have current or recent trading experience to be considered, and the client is willing to accept applicants from both the Sell Side and Buy Side accordingly.

You will be a key part of a relatively small team, so will be able to make a large impact within the business. You will use your trading experience and quantitative skills to monitor the firms position, carry out quantitative assessments, evaluate trade ideas and contribute to a range of projects to add to the trading. Some responsibilities will include:

• Monitoring the firm’s existing positions across funds, including credit and scenario analysis and enhancing trade and P&L monitoring processes
• Monitor the market for macro trends and propose trade ideas by carrying out quantitative and qualitative assessment of proposed new transactions
• Devising solutions to optimise some trading P&L and risk reporting and streamlining downstream information flow for investor materials
• Preparing material for investors – including presentations for prospective investors and developing new materials on various new trading strategies as when relevant
